Ghana: Former Vice-President, Aliu Mahama in critical condition

Alhaji Aliu Mahama is said to be in critical condition at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital. He is reported to be on a life-supporting machine.

Ghana’s former Vice-President, Alhaji Aliu Mahama is  said to be in critical condition at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.

His health condition, according to family sources has been deteriorating for some weeks now.

There have been reports on the airwaves suggesting that the former Vice-President has passed away.

But the Chief Executive Officer of the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, Prof. Otu Nartey said he was alive and kicking.

According to him, Alhaji Aliu Mahama has been on a life-supporting machine for a week now with his condition stabilized.

The hospital, he noted is considering flying him out of the country to either Germany or the United Kingdom for medical treatment.
